Sloth Personality Test

INFJ: Stubborn Missionary

INFJs are rather compassionate idealists.

But their inability to deal well with the real world is a pity.

On the other hand, they have the advantage of sincerity and affection.

Here I would like to consider how to make the most of such advantages.

Intuitively know others’ feelings

INFJ, interpreted according to Jung’s theory, probably refers to the following psychological types.

Introverted feeling type

The superior function is feeling.

The auxiliary functions are intuition and sensation,

but intuition is stronger than sensation.

Below is a diagram that illustrates the above.

In this type, thinking is the inferior function.

Incidentally, Jungian theory explains that when the superior function is extroverted, the other three functions are introverted.

And conversely, when the superior function is introverted, the other three are extroverted.

(In the MBTI, only the interpretation of introversion follows this rule.)

However, the MBTI interprets it differently from the above Jungian theory, which is shown in the table below.

Dominant Introverted Intuition
Auxiliary Extroverted Feeling
Tertiary Extroverted Thinking
Inferior Extroverted Sensing

I describe personality types on this site with four letters, “just like the MBTI.

However, I follow Jung’s theory as much as possible when explaining personality theories.

This is because we believe that those who have studied the MBTI up to now can broaden (or change?) their thinking by learning the original and correct Jung’s theory.

Looking at the MBTI theory as a whole, it is relatively similar to Jungian theory in the case of extroverts.

But it deviates considerably from Jungian theory in the case of introverts.

INFJs have well-developed intuition, but it isn’t the kind of intuition that predicts trends in the world like extroverted intuition.

Rather, intuition is strong as the ability to see the essence and truth of things.

INFJs also have strong feelings and are good at understanding the feelings of others.

This is probably why INFJs are often considered suitable for careers as counselors or educators.

Something in the religious field might also suit them

After reading the ESTJ description on this page, you may feel it does not apply to you.

In that case, there is a possibility that the result of the test is wrong.

If so, please read the following article.

Here is the most important thing to know about personality tests.

Taking personality tests can be harmful!

Idealists with No Great Ambitions

INFJ is truly a deeply compassionate idealist.

They are kind and always want to help others.

However, they aren’t so ambitious as to want to create an ideal society.

They often meddle with their families and neighbors but don’t take much interest in the affairs of the world.

In this sense, INFJs are idealists but have no great ambition to create an ideal society.

At most, they are idealistic to the extent that they envision an ideal future with their families, friends, and lovers.

They are also not good at standing on a big stage and being the center of attention and limelight.

Perhaps it is because they underestimate themselves, and in such a situation they would be embarrassed.

They may be shy when complimented

Gentle but Unexpectedly Stubborn

INFJs are kind to others, but their personalities are somewhat stubborn.

Once they set a goal, they stick to it to the hilt.

And they don’t change the goals along the way.

They are also so eager to get results quickly that they often impose their ways on others.

However, things don’t always go according to their plans.

If things don’t go their way, they can become frustrated and depressed.

In such cases, they seldom listen to advice or requests to change their plans.

And they will always say:

“I’ve already made up my mind.”

This kind of inflexibility is what makes them stubborn

How Can INFJs Expand Their Potential?

INFJs are idealistic and also very affectionate.

However, their kind-heartedness makes them vulnerable.

That is why many of them feel difficulties in their lives.

Now, there are a few things to keep in mind to overcome these problems for INFJs.

That is, broadly speaking, the following three things.

Don’t pursue ideals excessively.

Think and act realistically.

Decide logically, not just emotionally.

All three of the above may be difficult for INFJs.

But they are all important challenges for INFJs to achieve a more fulfilling life.

Summary of INFJ type

INFJs have a bit of a complicated personality, so some of them have the feeling that life is hard.

But they are positive thinkers by nature, so they aren’t overly depressed.

By turning their weaknesses into strengths, their lives will be even better.

Finally, I have summarized what INFJs need to improve.

Intuitively understands the problems of others.

Idealistic but without ambition or greed.

Insufficient realistic planning and preparation.

Gentle but Unexpectedly Stubborn

Lack of a realistic perspective.
